	I earned the Ph.D. degree with a major in Information Systems in 1991 from Texas Tech University. I spent three years studying and working as a Teaching Assistant in the area of Information Systems and Quantitative Sciences (ISQS) of the College of Business.
	This 1869 multi-campus university was the beginning of my sojourn in the American academic scene. I earned the M.B.A. degree from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale in 1988. While persuing the degree, I worked as a Graduate Assistant for the Department of Finance, College of Business.
	I spent five wonderful years earning a Bachelor of Technology (Honors) in Civil Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur (unofficial web site) in 1981. Check out the following picture of the graduating "class of 1981" and click here to view their current picture :-).
