Responsibilities: Assist the dean with building on a base of outstanding cooperation and ongoing projects that are drawing the attention of corporations worldwide; Support the dean by attending various meetings and working on various projects to include providing leadership in program and resource evaluation and development, assessment and accreditation activities, and budget management; Support the College and Institute in student recruitment, student success, applied research, and technical assistance; Support the Dean to build strategic relationships with the business community and cultivate alumni and business leaders; Assist the Dean to identify additional sources of revenue, internally and externally; Assist the Dean to maintain and strengthen the College's relationship with other academic and non-academic units on campus; Support the development of international alliances and partnerships in teaching and research; Support and assist the Dean in college RP&T activities and performance review of college staff.

The EU partners receive an equivalent sum from the EU counterpart of FIPSE. The funds are primarily for student and faculty mobility for education and research activities within the overall theme. "US-Russia Partnership for Technology, Language, and Cultural Exchange." $398,103 grant from the U.S. Department of Education. This grant is a partnership between UNO and Peoples' Friendship University of Russia (PFUR) to jointly develop educational opportunities between the two nations, particularly in the areas of mutual foreign language learning through access to and the use of Information Technology (IT) capabilities. In this project, we are developing an innovative user-friendly Russian-English multimedia web-based portal to teach Russian and Englilsh as a Second Language.

University of Agder (UiA), Kristiansand, Norway and UNO's IS&T collaborated to obtain a grant of nearly $260,000 for 3.5 years from the Norwegian Centre for International Cooperation in Higher Education (an agency under the Ministry of Education and Research) to continue and extend the partnership between UiA and UNO. Khazanchi will serve as the Project Director for administering the grant on the UNO campus. The grant will fund large student exchanges between the two universities (35 students each way) and allow faculty and researchers to visit each campus for workshops and to establish and expand research collaborations.
