National Defense University Students

The College of Information Science and Technology agrees to accept 15 credit hours from Graduates of the CIOC Program with an Information Assurance Concentration towards the Masters of Science in Management Information Systems offered through the MIS Department of the College.

Specifically, the College will accept as transfer credit for the indicated MS in MIS core and extension courses the indicated CIOC courses:

ISQA 8310 - Data Communications – Equivalent To
IRMC-ELE 6205: GEN- Global Enterprise Networking and Telecommunications
ISQA 8410 - Database Management – Equivalent To
IRMC-INT 7614: DMS – Data Management Strategies and Technologies: A Managerial Perspective
ISQA 8420 - Managing the IS Function – Equivalent To
IRMC-AMP 6319: NWU - Changing World of the CIO
ISQA 8380 - Managing the Client/Server Environment - Equivalent To
IRMC-ELE 6201: SEC - Managing Information Security in a Networked Environment
ISQA 8570 – Information Assurance and Policy - Equivalent To
IRMC-AMP 6206: ESS - Developing Enterprise Security Strategies, Guidelines, and Policies
CIOC graduates must apply to the UNO Graduate School and meet the MS in MIS graduate admission requirements.

Once admitted to candidacy at UNO, students will be subject to all the rules governing the award of these degrees including rules pertaining to satisfactory performance.

Once NDU graduates are admitted to the UNO program, they enter a structured program and will be expected to complete the remaining credit hours at UNO from the courses specified for their particular degree program.
