Application for reinstatement must occur within 14 days of notification by the Graduate College of disenrollment (i.e., 14 days from the date of the letter or e-mail). Students petition for reinstatement by sending an e-mail to the Chair of the ISQA Graduate Program Committee. The e-mail should include reasons for the poor academic performance. The Graduate Program Committee will decide each case on an individual basis.

Welcome

Welcome to the web pages for the Master of Science in Management Information Systems program offered by ISQA. If you are interested in what this program has to offer, we invite you to look around and contact the Program Director if you have any additional questions. If you are currently enrolled in the MS in MIS program, check these pages regularly for announcements and updates.

The Master of Science in Management Information Systems (MIS) degree is designed to give students the skills and background needed to develop and manage an organization's information resources, technology, and infrastructure. It will serve as a source of added knowledge and experience for MIS graduates and practitioners interested in obtaining an advanced degree. It will also provide career growth opportunities for the non-MIS and non-business degree holders who find that their careers demand graduate level MIS education. The MS in MIS prepares students for a variety of positions, including applications and web-site developer, computer network manager, business system analyst/manager, consultant, and technology manager. The MS in MIS also prepares students for admission to doctoral programs in information systems.

A community advisory committee helps keep the program current with the needs of the business community.

For questions regarding graduate programs in ISQA, please contact Dr. Peter Wolcott at pwolcott@mail.unomaha.edu or Carla Frakes at cfrakes@unomaha.edu.
